Medical Lymphatic Drainage Massage in Bangkok
Medical Lymphatic Drainage Massage for swelling and post-surgery recovery
Medical Lymphatic Drainage Massage at Form Recovery and Wellness is a light and firm, rhythmic hands-on treatment performed by Applied Thai Traditional Medicine practitioners, not spa therapists. Form Recovery offers it at its Asoke (Sukhumvit 20) and Thonglor (Sukhumvit 49) clinics in 60, 75 and 90-minute sessions. It is used for swelling after surgery, including after liposuction, and for water retention, where it is usually booked twice a week. It supports recovery by promoting fluid movement in the treated area, and results vary from person to person.
The lymphatic system is part of the body’s circulation. It carries lymph fluid through a network of vessels and nodes. After surgery or injury, fluid can build up in the tissues and cause swelling. Medical Lymphatic Drainage Massage uses light, rhythmic strokes that follow the direction of lymph flow to support fluid movement in the treated area.
Sometimes you need some expert assistance to help your Lymphatic System do its job effectively and that’s where our Medical Lymphatic Drainage Massage comes in. Our certified and experienced therapists will evaluate your symptoms before diagnosing the issue and settling on a course for your massage. Through a gentle pressure massage of the affected area, we start restoring normal lymphatic system circulation. This medically proven process is a safe way to treat fluid retention and conditions such as Lymphedema and Fibromyalgia.
After our Medical Lymphatic Drainage Massage, your lymph fluid will flow more effectively through the affected area again, which should reduce pain and swelling. By triggering the flow of excess fluid and restoring your Lymphatic System again, your immune system will be stimulated and slowly begin to clear up other adverse symptoms in your body.
Do you need a medically-proven therapeutic treatment for pain and swelling? Medical Lymphatic Drainage Massage might be your best option.

What Happens During a Lymph Drainage Massage?
- Your session begins with a brief consultation to understand your goals — whether post-surgery recovery, chronic swelling, detox, or general wellness.
- Our certified therapists apply light, wave-like strokes to specific areas — starting from the neck, moving through the trunk, arms, legs, and any affected areas.
- Techniques follow anatomical lymph pathways and avoid compressing blood vessels or deep muscle.
- Optional compression or combined physiotherapy techniques may be added based on your condition.
- Sessions typically last 45, 60, or 90 minutes, depending on your needs and severity of fluid retention.
- This clinical technique is rooted in both Western medical protocols and modern therapeutic approaches — delivering results beyond relaxation.
How does Lymph Drainage Massage work?
The lymphatic system is one of the body’s most essential yet overlooked systems — a vast network of lymph vessels and nodes responsible for detoxifying the body, balancing fluids, and supporting immune health.
- It removes cell waste and other harmful toxins from your body.
- When your lymph nodes are doing their job properly, they collect, filter, and remove waste material from cell fluid and then your lymph vessels return this clean fluid back into your body.
- When the Lymphatic System is compromised, it can lead to symptoms and complications that can damage your health and lead to serious illness.
Unlike the circulatory system, the lymphatic system doesn’t have a central pump (like the heart). It relies on body movement, muscle contractions, and manual stimulation to move lymph fluid through its channels.
Medical Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) uses precise, rhythmic hand movements to gently encourage the flow of lymphatic fluid through its natural pathways. This is not a deep tissue massage — it’s a strategic, surface-level technique that decongests swollen tissues, boosts circulation, and accelerates internal detoxification.
This clinical technique is rooted in both Western medical protocols and modern therapeutic approaches — delivering results beyond relaxation.
What are the benefits of Lymph Drainage?

- Improves mobility in areas impacted by inflammation or stiffness
- Relieves chronic conditions like lymphedema, fibromyalgia, and sinusitis

After several hours of traveling from the US, the day prior, my legs were swollen and red. I scheduled a lymphatic massage in hopes to relieve some of the inflammation. The greatest part about Form, is that they started with a consultation. After they accessed my condition, it was determined that I would need more than they could provide. They helped me get the medical attention that I needed. After two days in the hospital, I'm happy I came here. Thank you so much for taking such food care of me and getting me the assistance that I needed. This was a 10/10 experience! I highly recommend.Posted on Google![]()

Perfect for international medical travelers. I traveled to Bangkok for a hospital surgery and decided to try out a lymphatic drainage massage to aid in my recovery. My experience at Form Recovery & Wellness was exactly what I needed. The atmosphere is professional yet very reassuring. My therapist was exceptionally kind and knowledgeable, ensuring I understood the 'why' behind the lymphatic drainage techniques. She even went above and beyond by providing tailored tips and advice on how to continue my healing journey once I returned to my home country. The detailed, written report emailed to me the following day was a fantastic touch that showed a real commitment to personalized patient care. It made the entire process feel seamless and professional. A must-visit for post-op wellness in Bangkok!Posted on Google![]()

I got in touch with form via email after coming to Bangkok to have some cosmetic surgeries. I used a company called destination beauty. Form where professional from beginning to end. They spoke great English at reception and the therapists did too. I managed to have about 8 medical lymphatic drainage massages. The therapists were gentle and professional and explained everything that was happening. The office was easy to find. Very clean and professional. I would highly recommend you visit as often as possible after having cosmetic surgery or just after flying.Posted on Google![]()

Highly Recommend – Amazing Pre-Op Care! I came to Form Recovery & Wellness for a pre-op lymphatic drainage massage before my chin lipo, and I’m so glad I did. The experience was incredibly professional, calming, and effective. The therapist was knowledgeable, gentle, and took the time to explain the process, which immediately made me feel comfortable and confident. The lymphatic drainage massage truly helped prepare my body for surgery and made a noticeable difference in reducing swelling and tension. I felt lighter, less inflamed, and much more relaxed afterward — exactly what you want before a procedure. The space is clean, welcoming, and very well run. You can tell they genuinely care about your recovery and overall well-being, not just getting you in and out. I’ll definitely be coming back for post-op sessions and future recovery treatments. If you’re looking for professional lymphatic drainage or recovery services, I highly recommend Form Recovery & Wellness!Posted on Google![]()

Me and my wife have been under treatment with lymph drainage massages by Dr. Thapanee (Ratha) Khaengpenkhae. She is very knowledgeable and effective in her approach. Really felt and see difference in our bodies. She also measures, so it’s not only qualitative but also quantitative. Reception always friendly and ready to answer questions. Also one of the few places where we always get helped at time of appointment, which is not always the case in Thailand. Highly recommend! Thank you Dr. Thapanee & team 🙏Posted on Google![]()

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Might be TMI, but I struggle with constipation, it’s been like that my entire life. I went for a lymphatic massage, (I love them and have had many benefits from them in the past). After a consultation with Nan, I didn’t expect to have so much relief weeks after. It’s been two weeks since visiting Form and I’ve had a bowel movement every day. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED IN MY LIFE. In addition to the lymphatic, I also received a massage to relieve neck/shoulder/spine tension and an acupressure massage on my stomach. Not only that but she also gave me some additional tips to bring into my daily routine, juices, herbs that might help. I’m beyond thankful a place like this exists and extremely grateful that it was not beyond my financial limits. I happened to meet the founder on my way out of the office. It was refreshing to meet someone so passionate about the cause and motivated to see it succeed, not because it’s a “trendy” thing, but because there’s a gap in the medical industry. He has experienced it, like many of us, and he has the means to do something about it. Thank you thank you thank you 🙏 for opening a place like this. I wish more places like this existed with this. Advice if you're interested: I'd also like to say, based from experience that healing is a process and although I received immediate benefits from these multi-day treatments, that has not been my experience with other healers. Not because they were bad healers, but because my body just takes time to receive those benefits. I'm the type of person who is committed to eastern medicine, I usually test something for 6 months or so...if this type of healing is new, give your body time to adjust and listen to your own intuition, if it's not working, it's okay, if it is fantastic and congrats!Posted on Google![]()
