Physio for elders in Bangkok
Specialised Physical Therapy session for elders. Improve mobility and reduce pain naturally at Form Recovery & Wellness.
If you’re experiencing balance issues, frequent falls, or fear falling in the future — it’s easy to assume it’s “just part of getting older.” Many seniors in Bangkok hear the same thing from their doctors: that loss of mobility and independence is inevitable.
But at Form Recovery & Wellness, we know that’s not true — and we specialize in helping elders regain strength, confidence, and stability through targeted physiotherapy.
Hip, knee, and leg injuries are particularly serious for older adults, with long recovery times that don’t just affect your physical health — they impact your freedom and quality of life. Rather than being told to “be careful,” you deserve proactive treatment that helps you stay strong, mobile, and safe.
We work with seniors across our Bangkok clinics — including in Asoke and Thonglor — to reduce fall risk, rebuild strength, and support long-term independence. You’re not alone, and these issues aren’t something you just have to accept. Our expert team provides elder-focused physiotherapy to help you reclaim your confidence, mobility, and day-to-day freedom.
If this is something that you fear can happen to you, you’re not alone — book your consultation below!

People who might find physio for elders suitable often ask:
- I don’t feel steady while walking these days, how can I improve my balance?
- My friend got badly injured after a fall and is in a wheelchair but how do I avoid the same fate?
- My legs/hips aren’t what they used to be but is there a way to improve my condition?
If you have asked any of the questions above, then our Physio services for Elders may be what you need. Get in touch with us to learn more and see how Physio for Elders can help you get back to doing the things you love.
A team-based approach to therapy
Our ultimate goal is to get you back to doing the things you love without painkillers, injections, and surgeries. We do that by involving our entire team. Every case is regularly reviewed by the Head of each Department to give you the highest chance of success. It is thus not uncommon for our team to recommend a multi-disciplinary approach between Physiotherapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Alternative Thai Medicine.

You’re more than welcome to come wearing your regular clothing as we offer a change of clothes at our clinic. Alternatively, if you prefer to wear your own clothes, we recommend wearing comfortable athletic clothes while also keeping in mind the location of your injured body part. For example, if you have lower back pain, shorts and a loose shirt would be ideal. Or if you have shoulder pain, a sleeveless shirt would be great.

The number of physical therapy sessions you’ll need depends on your specific issue, pain level, and personal limitations. Contact us for a 30-minute consultation to get personalized guidance and discuss the best treatment plan for you.
That answer is always dependent upon the nature of your injury. Our aim is to return you to full fitness as quickly and as safely as possible. Once you have completed your initial consultation, your physical therapist will get you started on the road to recovery with a customized treatment plan. An acute/early phase injury may only require a few visits in a short period of time. On the other hand, a more chronic injury may require more visits in order to progress an exercise programme to help you self-manage your injury. Either way, we’ll have a clearer answer for you after your initial free consultation.
This is the most common question we hear! Luckily, it’s the easiest one to answer: if you’re in pain due to any of the following problems, then YES, you can be very confident that physical therapy is right for you.
- Back pain and stiffness
- Neck pain and stiffness
- Shoulder muscle tension and tightness
- Pain and pins and needles in your leg
- Sports Injury
- Ankle or Knee injury
- Pre and post-operative
- ACL rehabilitation
- Pain in hamstring, calf, groin muscles or the achilles tendon
Pain underneath your foot - Pain in your lower back when you sit or stand for even short periods of time
- Pain and stiffness in your back when you put on your socks and shoes
