Traditional Chinese Medicine in Bangkok
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been used over thousands of years to help people deal with pain, muscle stiffness and many other conditions. TCM is a broad discipline that covers numerous treatments and modalities but it mainly deals with balance of “life force” or Qi. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is more than just ancient wisdom — it’s a proven, holistic system for restoring health, relieving pain, and rebalancing the body. At Form Recovery & Wellness, we bring these centuries-old techniques into the modern world by integrating them with physiotherapy and Applied Thai Traditional Medicine.
Our TCM therapists focus on restoring your internal energy flow, or Qi, by treating the root causes of pain, improving circulation, and reducing inflammation using techniques such as:
- Acupuncture
- Dry needling
- cupping therapy
- Gua Sha scraping, and
- herbal compress therapy — all customized to your unique condition.
Whether you’re dealing with chronic back pain, recovering from sports injuries, or experiencing general fatigue and stiffness, our team develops treatment plans rooted in both diagnostics and lived experience. And because we’re based in Asoke and Thonglor, it’s easy to access expert care near you.
Most of our clients seek relief from:
- Neck and back pain
- Muscle tightness from office syndrome or desk posture
- Fatigue, insomnia, and poor circulation
- Joint stiffness, arthritis, or frozen shoulder
- Sports recovery or post-surgery rehab
We don’t offer one-size-fits-all “relaxation” — we deliver targeted therapeutic outcomes with real clinical results.

I’ve only had 5 sessions at Form Rehab Wellness, and I genuinely wish I had come here sooner! I’ve already noticed significant improvements in my posture, mobility, and pain. For the first time in a long while, I can actually feel my body recovering. Before Form, I went to xxx for almost 1.5 years. The improvements after each session would only last a day or two before the pain returned, sometimes even worse. I had started to feel like my pain might be chronic and never truly improve. Switching to Form has been one of the best decisions for my recovery. Khun Boss and Khun Yu are incredibly patient, attentive, consistent, and detailed. They take the time to understand my symptoms, monitor my progress, and carefully plan each treatment. I never feel rushed and genuinely feel cared for. I’m so grateful to have found Form and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for physiotherapy in Bangkok based on my personal experience. Thank you, Form team! I’m excited to continue my sessions and see how much further I can recover.Posted on Google![]()

I strained a muscle in my lower back. I couldn't even bend over to tie my shoes for 7 days, so I decided to get some physical therapy and found Form Recovery. Really nice facilites, very professional, thorough examination before starting therapy with Sutee/Jeng. I received massage, ultra sound and lazer treatment. He also provided some at home movements to perform to assist with the recovery. I only had 3 sessions because I was leaving Bangkok. But I feel much better, and my 18 hour flight home should be a lot more comfortable. I highly recommend Form Recovery. StuartPosted on Google![]()

Excellent Experience at Form Recovery - Highly Recommended! I visited Form Recovery for a consultation after experiencing problems with my neck, left shoulder and upper back for the past two months. I reached out to them online with a brief summary of my issues and they arranged an appointment for me quickly and effortlessly. I was assigned to Khun Panicha (Lucky), who was extremely thorough and attentive throughout the session. She started with a proper assessment of my movements and symptoms, followed by a detailed explanation of what might be causing my discomfort. This was followed by therapy and a series of exercises to help with my recovery and prevent the problem from recurring. Khun Lucky was knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to explain everything clearly, demonstrate each exercise and guide me through a full workout to ensure I understood the correct techniques. This approach was particularly helpful. The premises are very clean and well-maintained with several consultation rooms and a spacious rehabilitation and exercise area equipped with all the necessary tools and equipment. The reception staff are equally impressive - polite, friendly and always willing to help or answer any questions. Form Recovery also offers a range of other therapies including acupuncture, acupressure, lymphatic drainage and traditional Thai and Chinese treatments. Communication is excellent too with prompt responses whenever you have questions. All in all, this was a great experience. Professional care, a welcoming environment and genuinely attentive service. I will definitely be returning. Thank goodness for places like Form Recovery!Posted on Google![]()

Frequently Asked Questions
TCM is a holistic healing system from ancient China that includes acupuncture, herbal therapy, cupping, and energy balancing practices like Qi Gong. At Form Recovery, we combine these with modern physiotherapy for optimal outcomes.
Yes. TCM treatments like acupuncture and cupping can reduce muscle soreness, improve circulation, and promote faster recovery. They’re especially effective post-competition or for chronic pain.
We offer acupuncture, dry needling, fire cupping, herbal compresses, and Gua Sha — all tailored to your specific condition and integrated with physiotherapy when needed.
For patients with group insurance or health insurance covering outpatient (OPD) treatments, insurance can be claimed. Many of our clients use their insurance to cover their treatment fees at our physiotherapy clinic. Visit our Insurance page to find out more or contact the clinic directly.
We utilize a variety of machines in our physiotherapy treatment such as Ultrasound Therapy, Electrotherapy, or High Power Laser. Ultrasound and Electrotherapy are part of our standard treatment rates whereas High Power Laser is an add on. During our Free Consultation as well as ongoing treatment, our Physiotherapist will inform you which machine is best for you.
Absolutely. All treatments are administered by licensed professionals trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Thai traditional healing, ensuring safe, hygienic, and effective care.
Yes. While we do have a variety of treatment methods to help you see the best results, you do not need to do them all. Many people who come to us also only do physiotherapy treatment and see fantastic results. That being said, we will recommend the best treatment plan for you, which may just be physiotherapy or more than physiotherapy. Then we will work together to agree on a treatment plan that works for you given your availability, preference and budget.
While physiotherapy focuses on biomechanics and physical rehab, TCM addresses internal energy flow and systemic imbalances. Combining both delivers superior recovery, especially for athletes.
